    Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana or physical yoga posture is merely one branch, breath or pranayama is another. Both Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois, his grandson, encourage practice of Ashtanga Yoga – all eight limbs.

    At Pure Yoga Pattaya experience the Standing Series with Diana Mountanos which focuses on compressing all of our major organ groups and balancing on one leg/foot in various yoga posture. The object of stretching is “pulling” which is what students do with 1 minute holds, a rest period and then a 30 second hold. Most postures have two sets.
